Gynecomastia is the technical term used for manboobs can be a painful and disturbing experience if not attended on time. The term Gynecomastia comes from a Greek word ”Gyneco” meaning Female and “Mastia” meaning Breasts, and pronounces as “guy-nuh-Koh-MAS-tee-uh”.

When Gynecomastia appears in an infant or pubertal boys it resolves on its own with time, which is termed as ‘Psychological Gynecomastia’.
           
Generally, in the case of men, it starts to appear in the peak age between 50-69.
